Intrigued by the phenomenon of 3D printing, they started to assemble their own Ultimaker 1 as a kit the evening after their work as an architect.

“We were first fascinated by what this technology could bring to architecture, then we quickly realized that the sculpture and art sectors were also affected by 3D printing.”

So they set out to create objects that they printed themselves and then, one thing leading to another, they took part in design competitions until they were directly contacted by Ultimaker to help them create a dress entirely. printed in 3D, which will then be presented at the 3D PrintShow 2014 in New York.

“This dress was really well received, it was a real first at the time. It was even featured in a report on Discovery Channel and we were invited to present it during a fashion show organized by Michel Obama at the White House! “

But their creativity is not limited to fashion, they also create many toys inspired by their child and his behavior. “It is by playing with our 3 year old son and watching cartoons with him that we imagine the majority of our 3D models. We observe him and it is his behavior that gives us ideas for creations. “

In addition to being articulated, our little robot is equipped with a cannon to shoot chocolate candies ”.
