OTOY adds Redshift support to the Render Network

NOVEMBER 23, 2021

Friedrichsdorf, Germany – November 23, 2021 – OTOY and Maxon are delighted to announce the arrival of Redshift to the Render Network, offering Redshift users the ability to scale GPU rendering jobs across millions of GPUs distributed across the Render Network. Render Network. Redshift’s integration into the Render Network is a milestone for the industry’s first blockchain peer-to-peer GPU rendering network and 3D marketplace, enabling the platform to support an expanded set from workflow, from motion graphics and VFX, to games, design and scientific visualization. As part of this partnership, OTOY and Maxon will also develop a native Cinema 4D integration on the Render Network, providing a one-click solution for uploading to the Render Network, thereby bypassing the scene conversion and export processes that take time.

With Redshift on the Render Network, users will be able to seamlessly switch between renderers, providing an agnostic platform for scaling GPU rendering jobs across millions of decentralized GPUs. Its usage-based licensing options for cloud-based GPU rendering streams will allow Redshift artists to scale GPU rendering tasks on-demand without having to pay large upfront licensing fees.

“Cinema 4D on the Render Network will dramatically speed up artist workflows,” commented David McGavran, CEO of Maxon. “It will allow our community to take advantage of the scale and efficiency of millions of decentralized GPUs in the cloud without the hurdles of converting and exporting cumbersome scenes.”

“This integration between Cinema 4D, Redshift and the Render Network is an important step in our ten-year mission to democratize the creation of high-end 3D content and a breakthrough for the development of the open metaverse, added Jules Urbach, CEO and founder of OTOY. ”Artists can now create motion graphics, visual effects, and cryptoart that push the boundaries, mixing and matching render pipelines seamlessly while taking advantage of the unprecedented scale of million decentralized GPUs. “
