Setting and exporting loadpoints in Navisworks Manage

With this workflow you can set load points directly in Navisworks. All you need to prepare is an AutoCAD DWG file (see attached sample) containing the template loadpoints, that you will move in Navisworks and set the load information. You will export those load points with help of the clasher (see attached clash settings xml for import). If you want to test the workflow, you can also download attached NWD which was used in the video.

Missing in the video: Before you export the load points with the help of the clasher, you need to create two quick properties: “User Data: name” and “User Data: load”.

Note: it is much easier to export the report as xml and to open this report directly with Excel rather than using the html export as shown in the video.
