AutoCAD constraints

Like with other CAD systems, AutoCAD also has constraints….

These constraints can be used to introduce design intent…

I like to use the tangent constraint…lets take a look…

I can delete the constraint as well

The constraints are really handy to control extactly how you want the figures to be oriented and maintain that orientation.

Another constraint called concentric….

I want the center of the circles to be the same….

Or I could lock the geometry…this forces the other object to move….

Or I could force two lines to be paralell…

There are other constraints like perpendicularity vertical or horizontal that are handy too.
Use these to your advantage!
