It’s the most wonderful time of the year! And no, we’re not talking about the holiday season. We’re talking about Autodesk University Las Vegas! The 2016 event starts next week, so shake off those beginning of winter blues, and join us in the desert – it’s not too late to register.
What to Expect
Yes, there will be parties, but we all know that what’s really important in Las Vegas is learning. There are still classes with space available, so we encourage you to check out the whole catalog here.
Looking for AutoCAD-specific classes? We’ve got a few suggestions here and here. There are also still seats available in Lynn Allen’s 60 AutoCAD Tips in 60 Minutes class, so make sure that’s at the top of your list.

Whichever classes you sign up for, make sure you leave room for (at least) one of four AutoCAD Family Feud competitions, hosted by Heidi Hewett. Join AutoCAD celebrities like Lynn Allen, R.K. McSwain, Robert Green, and Shaan Hurley onstage as they battle it out based on responses from the AutoCAD community!
Speaking of Shaan, he’s hosting 5K fun runs on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings, so join him to get the blood pumping bright and early before keynotes and classes. He’s also got some terrific AU survival tips, which we encourage you to read.
Want to make sure your voice is heard? Chime in on the Autodesk User Group International (AUGI) 2016 Wish List. Per AUGI, “Each year, AUGI shares the top 10 wishes for each product with the Autodesk product development teams. As members, you determine which wishes make the top 10.” Currently, wish lists are available for AutoCAD, AutoCAD Architecture, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Inventor, Navisworks Manage, Revit, Revit Architecture, Revit Structure, and Revit MEP. We love the work AUGI does, and we’re excited to hear from you.
