Blender Cycles X

It’s been exactly 10 years since the Blender Cycles announcement was launched. The Blender Foundation recently announced the release of Cycles X which is a redesign of the tool’s rendering engine. The new version should be released with Blender 3.1. It will improve and boost rendering times on GPUs, as well as the interactivity of the viewport. In general, the objective of the project is to improve the architecture for future development and to perpetuate the project for the next 10 years, but also to introduce more advanced rendering algorithms. Maxon’s Forge

Maxon has acquired “forger”, an iOS 3D sculpting and texture painting application! Designed over a decade ago by Javier Edo Meseguer, Forger delivers professional and desktop-level sculpting workflows on mobile devices. The tool offers a comprehensive collection of sculpting brushes and tools, the ability to mask, overlay that make concept and production level sculpting possible on a mobile device. Forger supports all iOS devices (iPad / iPhone / iPod Touch). Download the app here.

Houdini Poremaker Tool

Ramon Schauer is a freelance 3D artist who has developed a new tool that saves a lot of time on creating lifelike human faces. Definitely, everyone is getting started after Epic Games and its MetaHuman Creator! The tool is called “Houdini Poremaker Tool” and it is dedicated to one thing and only one, very specific: to create believable skin pores and micro-wrinkles. Realism is in the details! Usually, artists create pores or wrinkles by manually sculpting the pores… but with this new tool, you don’t have to spend too much time on them. Click here to find out more.
